2025 will be filled with taping many events and interviews. I will be back in production with the program on the “ECamm” live streaming format. This year will be filled with information on ” interviews with musicians, the impact of streaming music services, and how ID artists can get into the business without signing a contract with a label. As a member of the AFM, I’ll share insights on how the AFM can benefit you and how important it is to have your music copyrighted.
On August 1st, 1925, we’ll be in Jackson, TN, for the unveiling of the historical marker honoring Christine Chatman, “The Boogie Woogie Queen.” James Cherry, President of the Jazz Foundation of West TN, was interviewed, and the show is on my YouTube channel to promote the Jazz Foundation and the event. The event did receive extensive media coverage.
Upcoming Shows: Christine Chatman, “The Boogie Woogie Queen” documentary; Her life, her career, the impact of the chitlin-circuit on jump blues artists from 1940-1950. As I’m producing this documentary, I’ve had the opportunity to research her career for over 25 years. It all started with my son, Alex Coleman, in the 3rd grade, when he had an assignment to do an I-Search. We decided to research his great aunt Christine Chatman. I have recordings with her band and many other artists, and over 100 articles highlight her career.
