This year will be filled with information on ” interviews with musicians, the impact of streaming music services, and how ID artists can get into the business without signing a contract with a label. On August 1st, 1925, we’ll be in Jackson, TN, for the unveiling of the historical marker honoring Christine Chatman, “The Boogie Woogie Queen.” James Cherry, President of the Jazz Foundation of West TN, was interviewed, and the show is on my YouTube channel to promote the Jazz Foundation and the event. The event did receive extensive media coverage.<\/p>\n

As I’m producing this documentary, I’ve had the opportunity to research her career for over 25 years. It all started with my son, Alex Coleman, in the 3rd grade, when he had an assignment to do an I-Search. We decided to research his great aunt Christine Chatman. I have recordings with her band and many other artists, and over 100 articles highlight her career.<\/p>\n
